Privacy Policy
Last updated:
At Livtus, your family's privacy is not an afterthought — it's the foundation of everything we build. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the Livtus service. This includes: account registration information (name, email address, and password for parent accounts); child profile information (first name and age range, provided by a parent); usage data (how features are used, to improve the service); and device information (device type and operating system, for technical support). We do not collect precise location data, social security numbers, financial information beyond payment processing, or any sensitive personal information about children beyond what parents provide.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Livtus service; authenticate users and keep accounts secure; send important service notifications (not marketing) to parent accounts; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information to show you advertisements, build behavioral profiles, or sell to third parties.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Livtus is designed for use by children under the supervision and with the consent of their parents or guardians. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parents can review, update, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We do not condition a child's participation in any activity on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as cloud hosting and payment processors), but only under strict confidentiality agreements and only as necessary to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including end-to-end encryption for all communications, encryption of data at rest, secure HTTPS connections, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we are committed to using the strongest protections available.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and your child; correct inaccurate information; delete your account and all associated data; opt out of non-essential communications; and request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Livtus after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
